Manchester based band ‘The Rubys‘ dropped their first album on the 19th May – Their album launch took place at ‘The Ruby Lounge‘. I hadn’t shot any artists live at the venue prior to this gig – what a quirky little venue!
As a photographer, the lights are pretty low – but I LOVE to try and capture the true environment when shooting live gigs. It’s challenging to say the least but it makes you work harder to try and get ‘that’ shot. I’ll be blogging about lowlight photography – specifically gig photography in the coming weeks – here’s some shots from the gig – Make sure you check ‘The Rubys – Limelight Parasite’ out over at their website – Order a physical copy – The album artwork is great!
I was at this gig and then had an interview with the band after. You must’ve been standing right next to me! =)
Awesome – Yeah I was around 🙂 You got a link for the interview? Would love to have a read!
It was recorded I’m afraid. So I don’t have anything at the moment I’ve lost the cable for the recorder but I’ll let you know when it’s ready!
Ah fair play – Yeah for sure 🙂
