Author’s in front of the Lens // Part 2

You may have seen the first part of this post a couple of days ago, if you didn’t, click here . In November the Portico Awards took place at Manchester Town Hall, in the stunning Great Hall. I was commissioned to capture some more portraits and capture the event as it unfolded. It was a fabulous evening with so much talent in one room. I met the guys from the previous session once again and met some more authors on the night. Some established, and some were up and coming.

The Portico gives a sum of £10,000 to the authors of the best Fiction & Non Fiction books. Jean Sprackland won the best non-fiction award for her title ‘Strands’ and Sarah Hall the best Fiction for ‘The Beautiful Indifference’.

The Portico Award has been previously won by the likes of Anthony Burgess Author of ‘A Clockwork Orange‘.

Here are some of the shots from the evening.
